For the most part, we get along great, and really enjoy all of the crazy times that we have had together. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, which makes my family realize how precious life is, so we generally appreciate each other more. My extended family is huge (just to give you a clue, I have around 50 cousins), but I won't get into all that.
I LOVE anything, and everything artsy. That probably explains why I do jewelry work, music, and several other things things of similar natures. As far as music goes, I love to sing and listen to pop-jazz music, like Michael Bublé, FUN, and Sara Bareilles. They can actually sing, which is pretty impressive when you consider that most modern artists don't have a clue what they are doing. My most musical side comes from the piano though. I have been playing the piano for as long as I can remember, and from what my parents have told me, even longer than that. My first semester of college I spent studying Piano Pedagogy (piano teaching) at Brigham Young University-Idaho because I feel that my talent and love for the piano is best used when I share my knowledge with others. My favorite music to play on the piano comes from the Romantic Era (1825-1900), which includes music from: Chopin, Grieg, and Tchaikovsky. This music contains such a wide and beautiful emotional spectrum and has true passion. I love playing this music because of that. It tells a story that someone is passionate about, and to me is true art. More about all of my artsy passions is written on my What I Do page.
I am no longer a music major, but am thrilled to call myself a web design and development major, emphasizing in web design. I love being able to take my love for art, and my blog as well, and turning it into an exciting career.
Another part of who I am has a lot to do with what I believe. I am a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I go into more detail on this, and explain why I choose to be Mormon, and what I believe because of it on my My Beliefs page.
